About Me

Hello, my name is April Grommo and I am from San Diego, California.  I grew up in San Marcos, California and have not ventured far.  I currently work as the Director of the Information Technology Projects Office at California State University San Marcos.

I received my bachelor's degree in Information Technology and my MBA at University of Phoenix.  I also taught at UOP for the last couple of years. Recently, I have been more focused on my Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) coursework.  I am currently attending the Joint Doctorate program offered at UCSD/CSUSM. My dissertation interest is looking at transfer students from California Community Colleges that transfer to a California State University.  Specifically focused on what formal and informal networks they use to be successful.

When I am not working or doing schoolwork, I like spending time with my daughter and friends.  I also enjoy playing golf.
